Most of this post will probably be a big “…wha?” to people. But Jan makes posts all the time that make me go “…wha?” so I don’t care! I have broken it up, because…well that was an outline, actually.

The Dog War

This is so silly and stupid, but I feel I must write about so that one day I can continue to laugh.

On a forum I visit there is a certain member. About eight years older than myself, yet you would think they were ten years younger. They make posts not for advice (which is the whole point of said forum) but for..I don’t know. A pat on the back? Anytime another poster makes a response that disagrees with the topic or whatever, they soon find themselves getting chewed out. Now, ALL of their threads are basically the same crap over and over, and eventually even the top brass started to call them out on it. So, back in March our hero made a post stating that they were leaving this oh so evil forum. I actually believed them.

But nay! Withen a few weeks they were back, quietly, not speaking much. I thought, hey they’ve learned their lesson. Haha, how easily babes are fooled. I checked back into the forum after a couple of weeks of absence to see at least three (and maybe four) new threads by them. And I can’t help but wonder why. Why post on a forum when you know no one there agrees with your weirdo ways? They stated that they didn’t care what any of us thought, ok, then why ask us what we think?! I just don’t understand.

Actually, that’s not funny at all. Well, it was funnier reading the posts than talking about them. Oh, and where do the dogs come in? If you knew them, you’d understand. Oooooh cryptic!

phpBB 3

There was a time when I questioned my buying vBulletin. This was because the phpBB 3 beta was annoucned not that long after. However, where is it now? phpBB 3 is still not out, and I’ve been enjoying my vBulletin in the meantime. I don’t regret it. Sure, I hate hate hate the template system, but then, I hated phpBB’s too until I got (semi) used to it. In fact, there have been a few more security updates to phpBB 2 even in the short time I’ve switched over. And they still haven’t solved their image verification system! (ok turns out while I was writing this draft beta was finally released)

Random

Well! Um…. I like gtalk. I didn’t think I would like it, but now it’s all I use for IM. I also now like football. Not american football, the other one. And it has nothing to do with the fact that football players are so good looking and take their shirts off after the match is done. Nothing at all, Laura!

I’ve began a reread of WOT. How do those people do it?! I feel like ripping my eyelids out. Even the blessed Moiraine(May the Lady Moiraine keep you satisfied) acts the fool! But I’ll finish, even if I die trying.
