Plans for Ayleena dollie
While at my hellhole of a job tonight, I distracted myself thinking of what the hell I am going to do with Ayleena’s faceup. As much as I would like to get Elnore, getting the dolls I already have situated takes priority. So. Ayleena. Faceup. Finding a commissioner in DoA is a PITA due to the overloaded marketplace. Add to that that I have “criteria” and it makes it even harder.
In no order of import:
1. Can do slight modification. I love the tender eyes, really I do, but if Ayleena’s eyelids were just a smidgen less hooded I would be overjoyed. Tender Too looks delightfully cute, but Tender Bee-a can look delightfully high on crack cocaine if you look at her the wrong way.
2. Applies eyelashes. I don’t mean that they have to supply them (although the lazy girl in me likes it when they do), but I seem to always find the ones who simply do not put eyelashes on dolls. Ever. I don’t trust myself around something that small with glue, so yeah. Need lashes.
3. In the US. The extra wait time that comes with international shipping plus the issue with customs…yeah don’t want to bother.
4. CAN DO ELEVEN YEAR OLDS!!!! Ok this is obviously most important. Ayleena is a child. Not a MNF Shiwoo hooker. Maybe I am old fashioned, but eleven year olds don’t (or at least their mamas shouldn’t let them) wear purple eyeshadow with black lipstick and heavily tweezed eyebrows. I like children to look like children, kthxbye.
5. Oh. And her eyebrows should match her wig. Since her wig is a natural black from Leeke, I don’t see that as an issue for any faceup artist.
Anyway, I can live without the slight modification for now, but it is a plus. I’d even be willing to ship to Canada if it came down to it. But still, meeting all those points would be ideal. I’m trying to narrow down my top choices so that when I am ready to send her off (not 100% sure when that is, hopefully next couple of months) I can try and get a spot and get it over with.
Right now as it stands I’m looking at armeleia, SDink, and CherryStreet. Armeleia is in the lead for now, followed by CherryStreet. I’m in a bit of honeymoon period with SDink since I just saw a faceup of hers last night that made me stop and stare. So not sure where she will end up in my pecking order as of yet.
This turned out to be a lot longer than I intended.

Interview
When did you decide you loved the color blue?
Blue was the color of a startlingly lovely stone on my grandmother’s crown. I took a fancy to the color when I was less than six or so. (I knew she liked power!)
Was Thom love at first sight?
Interest at first sight was more like it. If a man can continue to arouse a mate’s curiosity after many years that’s often better than any initial rush of love, don’t you agree? (No. I like them pretty and young, or rich and old, bb!)
How about Nynaeve?
I thought she was a pretty child, before I knew of her station. (So they did get it on)
Which child is your favorite?
The inner child in each of my children, no matter how old they have gotten. (That is not an answer!)
No, really?
That’s as plain as can be. (THAT IS NOT PLAIN AS CAN BE!)
Is it true you get half nude at the Feast of Lights?
I do not, nor is that a subject that is polite to discuss. (I’ll take that as a yes.)
Do you like candy?
Yes, I like sweets sometimes. Blackberry pastilles are my favorite, but they are a little too sweet for most people. I like chocolate with orange flavor also, and black jelly beans. (D:)
Do you like Elayne?
Yes, but I wouldn’t have envied her childhood nurses. (I didn’t know Aes Sedai could lie)
Do you ever give Elayne candy?
They did all have gifts from me at times. Elayne preferred the trinkets from different parts of the continent to candies. (Maybe she just didn’t like your candy?)
When was the last time you visited Tar Valon?
I have recently visited in the past months, but could not stay. (You are running away, bb)
Why don’t you ever live in one place for long periods of time?
It is important to stay flexible and mobile. (It’s hard not to read that wrong)
Do you think your parents are proud of you?
I’m not done yet. (I think they would have liked you to join the Brown Ajah)
What of your sisters?
My sisters are too reasonable to go around spreading their pride here and there. (Is that a no?)
What of Cormanes?
I’m sure he is proud of me. (EGO! EGO! Corey is hot, though. Should hook up with Thom deaded and all)

The Awkward 23
23 isn’t really a special age to turn like 21 or 18 or 30 or dead. It’s just sort of there. Anyway, contrary to popular opinion (or at least the opinion of Niklas) I’m not too excited about my birthday. You see, the day after-September 20th-I have to get my “Smirnoff” story workshopped. I have to sit for 45 minutes at least and listen to people tear my story and characters apart. I usually sit there and try not to pay too much attention and just nod my head (I never take notes) but when I do listen I always want to go “You idiot! I didn’t write that! Can’t you read?!”
In other news, I think I have made enough on Amazon for them to send me money (the minimum is $10 and holy fuck I spelled minimum right?!). I have about $12 in there. Ok that doesn’t sound like a lot, but it could buy a doll thing or a manga or go to the Elnore fund. *looks at Zen evilly* The Elnore fund.
Um. Yeah. Someone was murdered at the school in my old dorm. Freaky shit. Freakier because no one made sure the students knew! The U of A really needs to step up on getting the news out. Although the reporters got the info fast enough.
Back to birthday. My dad is coming down the weekend after, whatever day that is. I should get a calendar. Anyway, so that’s when I’ll get cake. I don’t like seeming greedy, because I’m not really except for chocolate, but harassing Niklas over being late sending my gift is so easy and fun. I just can’t stop myself! He gets all defensive. Kate and Jan would just be like “yeah”. Well, Kate already sent the gift. I just accidentally opened it early. Anyway, I normally don’t care because the whole of September is my birthday month! But…Niklas being late is just too much of a target for me to not take a shot at.
Random post this is. Jan has taught me well.

Doll Crap
*Warning* This is of no interest to non-doll owners. Which would be most of you
Well, I recently jumped onto a group order (first ever, oooh deflowered!) and bought the shoes for Caraline off my dollie wishlist. I should really think about adding the other things I want/taking off what I no longer want. Yeah, one day. It’s a list for me, so who cares if I am lazy?!
I also ordered a custom shirt for Katsuro, since Becca was a little heifer and didn’t actually send out anyone’s orders. *dramatic sigh* But at least finally he’ll have a shirt on him. It’s not that I wasn’t able to find other shirts/outfits that I would like on him, it’s that he has orange/white shoes. And well, I wanted him to match. So yeah, shirt for Katsuro!
Soom getting rid of free shipping really irks. I understand why they did it, but it still sucks! I calculated the total of Elnore+custom faceup+shipping and it’s about $640. Thank god her and Caraline can share a wardrobe.
