I had no idea what to title this post.

Anyway, yes I have indeed ordered my next doll. A 28cm Customhouse Petite Ai Yuriel.

I will now admit how much I want a YoSD (I have no idea if I should make the “o” capital or not). There is the USA web dolpa coming up and then the dolpa in December. If there is a yo I want I will try and get it. If it’s a lottery deal, hohoho friends, get ready to help me out! Assuming, of course, there is one I want that is released at all. But yes, I really really want a yo.

Eh, so far the limited dolls available for the US dolpa are crap! I like Williams, but not as a one-off. But I really wanted some yos! I am so disappointed it isn’t even funny. I guess I have to keep waiting to find my little one. I should be happy about saving money for a little while, but alas, that is not where my head is right now for some reason.

I’ve also decided I want Ayleena to get urethane eyes. And a new wig. The eyes will have to wait until the next preorder, and then I won’t actually have them until months later. *sigh* Not only is this an expensive hobby, it is one filled with much waiting. Of course both of those are a result of the handmade nature of the items. But still! *impatient*

I really should be happy that there are no yos (so far) at the web dolpa, because there’s a lot of shit I need to get Perseus. But I was so prepared to spend a good portion of my November income at Volks! Asses.

New Camera

Well. My Olympus took pretty good photos while mom and I were in London, but trying to use it for macro photography is proving annoying. I have thought of two options: either upgrade to a better point-and-shoot, or really upgrade and get a DSLR. My temporary solution is using a tripod-which helps a lot-but that doesn’t really help with the camera’s lack of functions. It doesn’t even have a viewfinder.

If I go with the first option I am looking at a Canon or a Sony. I’ve heard good things about the Powershot, but Sony is supposed to have better lenses, and well, I love Sony anyway. However, since my Olympus was a gift from dad, I find myself not so eager to go that route.

So, the DSLR path. I’m looking at a Canon XTi or a Nikon d40. Canon has higher megapixels, but that’s about the only thing that makes me like it just a tiny bit more than the Nikon. I like that Nikon uses SD cards because that seems to be all people like to sell out here in Arizona. CF shouldn’t be too hard to find, but I like the variety of options I’ve seen with SD. The only reason the higher megapixel count appeals to me is because I don’t want to have to get a new DSLR in a couple of years. And I just like getting more bang for my buck, I admit it.

December is coming

Went home for Thanksgiving. It was nice to be out of the dorm! Oh to be back in my own bed and being able to fall asleep without having to blast my eardrums to drown out my roommate’s snoring. My cap and gown were there which is a relief because the delivery people out where my dad lives tend to just leave stuff by the front door. We mailed out announcements and all that jazz. I’m looking forward to going back home for good, even if entering the real world is scary.

I have also ordered my next doll. I did think about getting a PS3 but then I’d have to buy games and crap so it really wasn’t all that cost effective. I also thought of a PSP (why yes I am a Sony fanboy) but again…games. I suppose I could have bought nothing at all, but this is the last time I can buy something stupidly expensive without the worry of bills. And it is my graduation present to myself. She should be here when I go back home. She’ll either be waiting for me or will come right before the big day. *crosses fingers*

Katie’s doll is also on her way. If her doll comes next week, mine would be shipping out the following week at the latest, and then that following week will arrive. It’ll be like a month of dolls. Dolls to torture Niklas with.
